The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday (July 16, 2026) announced the result of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2026 re-examination held on July 16, with 11.21 lakh candidates qualifying for medical admissions.
The third and final ODI against England at Lord’s on July 19 could be Rohit Sharma’s last match for India. The BCCI’s senior selection committee is learnt to have informed him that they have decided to “move on” from him after the England series.
The panel is learnt to have spoken to Sharma, along with coach Gautam Gambhir, last week.
According to sources, the selection committee wants to give youngsters like Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has been waiting in the wings, a chance, and has made it clear that it doesn’t see a role for Sharma in the 2027 50-over World Cup.
“The selectors have informed Rohit that he does not figure in their scheme of things after the England tour and they are moving on from him after this series. He wanted to continue, especially after working on his fitness. The selectors have left the ball in Sharma’s court,” said a source in the Indian board.
